These
books are born to tell about Dinosaurs. But these aren’t “the
usual dinosaur books”.
6
volumes, each of them built around a graphic novel that will show
scientifically rigorous Dinosaurs under the light of wonder: me and
Marco Signore whant to amaze our readers, even those who already know
these creatures and their world.
Each one of the 6 stories will be a trip through the three Mesozoic
periods, in different places all over the world. Your “host”
will be an exceptional narrator: the sun, eternal and sage witness
of the life on our planet. He will tell and comment the stories like
a fantasy narrator, without giving direct scientific notions, but
telling the stories as if the normal animal lifes you’ll read
about are ancient ancestral myths.
Scientifical
explanations about what you will see in each graphic novel will come
from the illustrated pupular part of each book, in which the palentologist
Marco Signore will give you all the informations you need to convert
your wonder about what you’ve just seen in the graphic novel
into amazing knowledge, because you’ll discover why Dinosaurs
lived like that, why they looked like that, why the carnivore hunted
like that and why the herbivore ate this plant instead of that one.
Marco will tell you how he knows these things, how fossil clues tell
him about the ancient world. A rigorous scientivif-popular part, but
written in a friendly, comprehensive and enjoyable way even for juvenile
readers.
These
two parts – graphic novel and scientific-popular – will
be tightly interconnected, thanks to notes that will recall the graphic
novel in the scientific part. So reading the scientific part you will
be able to come back to the graphic novel to see with your eyes a
notion you’ve just read about in the text.
These
books are the fruit of more than 4 years of work, and of the will
of faith in a dream that I have in my heart since my childhood. These
books are the “incarnation” of this website motto.
I hope you’ll enjoy our books; I hope that who considers himself
(or herself) an expert will be amazed even seeing things that he (or
her) already knows; I hope that reading our book you will fall in
love with Dinosaurs and Nature.
But above all, I hope that our work will simply make you daydream.
Knowing that we succeded in this would be the biggest satisfacion
we could obtain.
